DELIVERY F.A.Q'S

How much does delivery cost?  

Delivery to uk mainland is free when you spend £15.00 or over.  Delivery costs £5.00 for orders below £15.00.  Delivery to the Islands and Overseas depends on the destination.  For more details see the Delivery Page.

How long will my order take to be delivered?  

We aim to despatch the working day after we receive your order so Friday, Saturday and Sundays orders are dispatched on Monday, Monday orders on Tuesday and so on.  During very busy times it may take us a day longer to despatch orders.  For uk mainland, we despatch on a next working day delivery service but during busy times this can take 2 working days for parcels to be delivered.  You will be updated by the courier.  For Highlands, Islands and Overseas delivery takes a little longer and it will depend on the destination as to whether you receive notifications from the courier. 

Can I get an update on my delivery?

Yes, if you haven't heard from your courier in line with the timescales above please email enquiries@the-mercers.com with your name and order number and we can confirm the status of your order.

What happens if a product I've ordered is unavailable?

Our website should show when products are out of stock but occasionally counts are incorrect.  If you order a product that is out of stock we will email you to see if you would like to wait for your order to be complete or substitute the product with another.

What happens if my delivery is damaged?  

We pack our parcels with every effort to prevent breakages however if you do receive a broken jar please send an email to enquiries@the-mercers.com with your order number, details of the damages and photographs of the damaged jar/s.  We will then contact you asap to arrange replacements to be sent.

What is the difference between Lemon Curd and Lemon Cheese?

Just the label in our range.  We believe that it is traditional in Yorkshire to call it Lemon Cheese and also in some other Counties & that recipes do vary from County to County.  There is an interesting read on our website home page about this. 

Are your products Gluten Free? 
The majority of our products are Gluten Free.  If you select shop and then click on Gluten Free under Refine Search all the Gluten Free products will be shown.

Are your products Vegetarian?

All our products are Vegetarian.

Are your products Vegan? 

Most of our products are Vegan.  If you select shop and then click on Vegan under Refine Search all the Vegan products will be shown.

What is the shelf life on your products?

For the shelf life of our products please click on the individual products and you will find a guide or alternatively see summary below:
Conserves, Chutneys and Marmalades - minimum 1 year on delivery

Curds - minimum 6 months on delivery                                                                                                                                                                                              Savoury Sauces, Mustards, Dessert Sauces and Mayonnaise - minimum 3 months on delivery

Is the Palm Oil you use from a Sustainable Source?

The palm oil in the margarine we use is fully RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) Supply Chain Certified, Registration Number BMT-RSPO-000001 

Do you have Sugar Free products? 
No, not at the moment.
